Two Victorian terraced houses have been merged & fitted with renewable heating/insulation.

A thermal storage tank is fed by 70 solar thermal tubes & a smokeless wood burner and backed by a highly efficient gas boiler – all computer controlled. This heats two radiator zones and an underfloor heating zone, as well as providing hot water.

20 solar electric generation panels with domestic voltage optimisation minimise electricity bills and maximise export to the grid.

Travel Tips: Near Texaco Garage on Ashgate Road – get the no. 2 bus from town and get off at Chester Street before walking a further 100m out of town. The house is on the right. Cycles can be parked at the rear.
