Glow-worm

A rare opportunity to visit the headquarters and training centre for Glow-worm, a company producing high efficiency domestic boilers and a range of renewable technologies.

This 1950's building was extended in 2011 and features external solid wall insulation with external cladding, ground source heat pump, air source heat pump, solar thermal panels, solar photovoltaic panels, natural light vents, mechanical heat ventilation recovery unit, underfloor heating anf a green roof with rainwater reclamation.

A talk introducing the Green Deal to visitors will be available throughout the day. Experts will be available to discuss the technology on display in the training centre and show it working.

Travel tips: Bus stop by the entrance called ‘opposite the Pottery School’, Buses 7.1, 6.3, 138, 143, 142 and 113. Large car park on the front, including cycle park.
