Peveril Solar House

Built in 2007, this modern house has been adapted to achieve a Net-Zero energy balance. The house was built with a ground source heat pump and various adaptations have aimed to ensure

the building is entirely solar heated all year round. A 4kW photovoltaic solar panel sytem provides 3.2MwH of power each year. The panels provide energy to the heat pump and inject spare energy to the large underground thermal store. this has reduced the annual electric consumption of the heat pump to 3.2MwH, equal to the output of the PV array.

Travel tips: Bus no's 8 and 9 come from the rail sation to a location very near the house. East parking for cars, and cyclists are very welcome. The home's postcode brings Satnav travellers exactly to the house.

Opening times: Sunday 11th May. Tours will be available at 12pm and 4pm. Pre-booking essential: wbecohouses.co.uk/or email: wbecohouses@gmail.com
