Home Valley Climate Action (HVCA) is continuing its monthly general meetings via Zoom. These monthly gatherings are a chance to get involved in effective action on climate change and find out more about their different groups.

Their next meeting is scheduled for 20th April at 7.30pm. The aim is to discuss how the current Covid-19 crisis can be used as an opportunity to reshape our society in ways that help address the climate crisis.

The agenda for this meeting will include:

  • "Practical suggestions for climate action at home" with Sally Soady
  • Group discussions and problem solving on how we can continue to work together while in isolation
  • HCVA Organisational matter

For those who have not used zoom before, they will open the meeting ten minutes before the start time, so that anyone who wishes can join early to familiarise themselves with how it works and ask for any support as necessary.

They are also preparing an application to the Charity Commission for charitable status as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. Bids are being prepared for funding for both educational and renewable energy projects.

A new document about our plans is available on the HVCA Slack space at: https://app.slack.com/client/TMDGTFJP6/browse-files

Any comments are welcome – particularly from people who will not be able to join the general meeting on Monday.  Please either post your comments on Slack, or email Jeremy at jeremywight73@gmail.com.
