The Big Tree Giveaway

Nottingham City Council is giving away free trees for residents to plant at home. This is part of their manifesto pledge to plant 10,000 trees by the end of 2023 and the Woodland Trust’s Big Climate Fightback 2020. Trees will be available to collect from Woodthorpe Park Plant Shop from 11th January until 8th February 2021. 

You can choose from the following types of trees:

• Silver Birch (Betula pendula),
• Rowan (Sorbus aucuparia)
• Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna)

All trees are two years old, approximately 60-90cm (2-3 feet) tall, and will need to be planted by March.
