Networking Events for Community Climate Change Groups

  • Arkwright Meadows Community Garden, Nottingham – Sat 14th March, 12:30pm-4:30pm
  • Loundsley Green Community Centre, Chesterfield – Sat 28th March, 12pm-4pm

Organised by Community Climate Action Network/Marches Energy Agency

Back by popular demand! The Community Climate Action Network is organising two Networking Events for climate change-focused community groups based in Nottingham, Derby, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. This is a chance for all the amazing people who are tackling the climate emergency in their communities to come together to share ideas, successes, learning and food.

It’s an exciting time – since our last Networking Events in March 2019, climate change has risen up the public agenda; our country, and many of our Local Authorities, have declared Climate Emergencies; and the work many of us have quietly been doing for years in our communities is getting more recognition. Come and celebrate what we’re all doing, share your frustrations at what’s not being done fast enough, and be inspired by others to keep going!

  • ‘Bring and share’ lunch (we’ll provide the drinks)
  • Hear about exciting projects from a number of groups in the area
  • Share about your own group’s activities
  • Carbon Literacy taster from Caroline Harmon of MEA
  • The Nottingham event will be preceded by a Nottingham City Council consultation on their Carbon Neutral Action Plan for city residents.

Want to shout about your work? If your group is currently running a project and you would like to provide a 25 minute workshop/talk about the project please let us know by contacting Caroline Harmon. We can provide guidance on the best way to do this. This is your chance to inspire others with the great work you’re all doing!

These events are always popular so book early!
