Permission Granted for Nine New Eco Homes in Nottinghamshire

Planning permission has been granted for nine new earth-sheltered houses in Eakring, Nottinghamshire. The eco homes have been designed by Hockerton Housing Project and will sit on the edge of the village. The homes were granted planning permission, despite being on a greenfield site, because of their energy saving credentials, as well as their affordability and appeal to both young people and downsizers. The development will also have reed beds which will improve the biodiversity of the site.
