Local groups are being encouraged to host a screening of a new film about climate change.

Do The Math is a documentary about the rising movement in the United States to change the terrifying maths of the climate crisis and challenge the fossil fuel industry. While it is set in the United States, the maths the film outlines apply globally -- making it important for all of us to watch. It is in English with the option of subtitles in French, German, Portuguese or Spanish.

Help End Cold Homes

Five million UK households live in fuel poverty - they cannot afford to keep their homes warm. Cold homes have been linked to the death of 7,000 older people each year, and higher rates of asthma and mental illness in children and teenagers.
Now, 120 organisations have come together to ask the government to use the money it gets from carbon taxes to invest in energy efficiency for homes. The scheme could improve an incredible 600,000 homes a year. It would make them cheaper to heat and cut their carbon footprint. Eventually that would mean taking 9 out of 10 households out of the misery of fuel poverty.

Organisations involved include Friends of the Earth, Barnados, Age UK and Mencap.
