An opportunity for community groups in Derbyshire, Derby, Nottingham & Nottinghamshire focused on tackling climate change and other environmental problems to meet to share their projects, successes, struggles and ideas. There will also be a workshop which will provide a space in which to reflect on how your group and members are doing and how you can give yourselves the best chance of being a group that endures and thrives.
Workshops:
Creative opportunities for anyone to experience cycling. Alastair Meikle, Inclusive Pedals and Cycling Without Age

Local Anti-Fracking campaigns. Greg Hewitt
Campaigning to make it easier to build eco homes locally. Claire & James Healey, EnVelop Homes
Combating poor air quality. David Clasby, Sustrans
Whistlewood Common: a community-owned woodland. Katherine Parrish will talk about a community-owned woodland with an eco-newbuild roundhouse near Melbourne in South Derbyshire. The project draws on permaculture principles.
Declaring a Climate Emergency. Peter Robinson, Derby Climate Coalition
Both events will begin with a bring and share lunch - please bring something to share (let us know if you have any dietary requirements).
