Dronfield Rotary Club Offer Carbon Footprinting

The Rotary Clubs of Dronfield and Drone Valley held a coffee morning in the Peel Community Centre in Dronfield on Thursday 20th February. The hall not only contained a good range of cakes, toasted tea-cakes, scones but featured displays on sustainability, not only highlighting the work of the Rotary Sustainability Trust but also indicating how individuals could reduce their energy consumption. The final part of the display offered live personal or household carbon footprinting which also proved popular. Community groups in Dronfield are in the process of bringing together “champions” to work on a range of community activities including the Community Energy Strategy – this is being spearheaded by the Rotary Club of Dronfield and the Dronfield Civic Society.
