Fantastic Energy Advice Offered at Hardwick Hall

The Fantastic Home visited the Festival of the Outdoors at Hardwick Hall, nr Bolsover on 28th October.

 

With energy prices going up, we had lots of interest in saving money on bills. We were able to assist people with switching enquiries as well as the usual interest in insulation and fitting new boilers. There was also interest from a lot of people in renewable technologies, both solar PV and solar thermal. We advised a few householders on fitting PV in a conservation area.

 

There were quite a few people with solid walls that needed insulation and we were able to advise them of the new ‘Green Deal’ that is being launched in January which should be able to assist them to fund the work that needs doing on their homes.

 

Representatives from Hardwick Hall also visited and we were able to give them a quick visual audit of the house and outline some areas that they should begin to look at to reduce their energy usage.
