Locally grown fresh and juicy summer fruits are now available to pick or buy from Brooke Farm in Linby. Brooke Farm provides horticultural and other training for people with learning difficulties and is run by Nottinghamshire County Council. Bus passengers in Broxtowe will benefit from quieter, fume-free journey after Nottinghamshire County Council received government funding for two electric buses on the 510 route. The buses, which should be in use within the next 12-18 months, will to serve communities in Stapleford and Beeston. The Centre for Sustainable Energy has produced energy efficiency advice in languages other than English. Resources available include factsheets in Polish and Arabic and short videos in Somali. CSE also has five ‘easy read’ factsheets for those who don’t read well. All these resources can be downloaded from their website.
