Zero Carbon Training

This two-day course aims to increase our understanding of the climate emergency and inspire people to make changes we need now. The course is run by Zero Carbon Belper with Dr Matt Connell from Nottingham Trent University, Dr Andrew Jarvis from Lancaster University, and Artist Tan Draig, O.B.E. 
 
The course will cover: 

  • How we got here (setting the context of the climate crisis).
  • A Zero Carbon Britain model of how it is technically feasible to reach net zero while maintaining our current levels of social well-being; a country wide overview - thinking about our region. 
  • Overcoming Economic, Social and Psychological barriers to change – Global Contexts and Local Debates.
  • Participate in Mapping and Visioning what a zero carbon future might look like in Derbyshire, with a local artist.

The cost is £12 and any profits after costs will be given to Belper's flood fund. Tickets:
