NEW FOR 2017: Visit By Appointment

A number of householders who have previously taken part in our events are now offering you the chance to visit them by appointment. Alternatively, you can arrange to speak with the householder on the phone if a visit isn't possible.

Background

We ran three annual Eco Open Home events between 2013 and 2015. During that time more than 600 people visited a home or other building in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. They were able to see eco features in situ and chat withhouseholders about what it's like to live in these homes and their experiences (positive and negative!) of installing energy efficiency measures and renewables. We had homes to suit every budget and a range of eco friendly measures on display, from solid wall insulation and solar panels to vegetable gardens, draughtproofing measures and compost toilets.
